Jingjing Liu, Ph.D. is an Associate Director at Abalone Bio, where she leads antibody drug discovery programs. Her work focuses on advancing the FAST platform to identify functionally active antibodies. Previously, she was a Principal Scientist at NAMUH, leading microbial strain engineering for HMO production. Her postdoctoral research at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign focused on yeast metabolic engineering, with earlier research at UC San Diego on autophagy signaling in yeast.

Discovery of GPCR Agonist Antibodies Using the FAST Platform

- Abalone Bio’s Functional Antibody Selection Technology (FAST) platform measures antibody activity at scale, not just binding, enabling the discovery and design of agonist antibodies for GPCRs
- The large-scale sequence-function datasets generated uniquely power AI/ML models to identify novel active antibody sequences
- Using FAST, we have identified diverse agonists against five GPCRs, 3/3 with in vivo activity
