Martin Marro is an Executive Director of Cell Pharmacology, Obesity & Complications at Eli Lilly and Company, where he leads multiple efforts to discover next-generation therapeutics for obesity and related cardiometabolic diseases. A seasoned drug discovery scientist and cell pharmacology leader, Martin has more than 20 years of experience spanning target identification and validation, mechanism-of-action studies, and drug development using multiple modalities across metabolic, cardiovascular, and gastrointestinal diseases. Prior to joining Lilly, he held senior leadership roles at Novartis and Tectonic Therapeutics, where he contributed to multiple development candidates and led programs targeting GPCRs and other therapeutically important pathways. Martin is recognized for building high-performing discovery teams and translating innovative pharmacology into clinical-stage medicines.
